چکیده
Methods 9 male individuals, aged between 20 and 35 years, weight lifters for at least 1 year, with a minimum of 4 times weekly frequency without nutritional counseling by a dietician, without the use of dietary supplements, medications or any condition diagnosed whatsoever. They exercised in the barbell bench press, leg press 45° and Extension Ankle (donkey) exercises, in that order. It was performed 3 sets of each exercise, with 2 minutes between sets and 30 seconds between exercises, charged to 85% of 1 RM and 6 repetitions in each series. 30 minutes before the execution of the exercises, the participants consumed 5g of ACR (2.5g of leucine, isoleucine 1.25g and 1.25g valine), or empty capsules (placebo). Blood samples were taken 30 minutes before (C1), immediately after (C2) and 30 minutes after training (C3) with a punction of the median basilic vein.

Reduction of Muscle Injuries and Improved Post-exercise Recovery by Branched-Chain Amino Acid Supplementation: A Systematic Review and Meta-Analysis
This meta-analysis and systematic review aimed to attain specific data on the effect of branched-chain amino acids (BCAAs) administration on muscle injuries and the indices of delayed-onset muscle soreness (DOMS) after exercise. Literature search was performed in databases such as Scopus, ISI, Web of Science, Scientific Information Database (SID), Cochrane Controlled Register of Trials (CENTRAL...
متن کاملThe Effect Consumption of Pre-Exercise Branched Chain Amino Acids Consumption With Vitamin E Supplementation on Muscular Damage
Background& purpose: Today, among athletes, the use of amino acid supplements with the aim of reducing muscle injuries is more important than in the past. the aim of this study was to survey the effect of branched chain amino acids (BCAA) consumption before exhaustive exercise along with 1-month vitamin E supplementation on lactate dehydrogenase (LDH) and creatine kinase (CK) levels of active f...
متن کاملAmino acid supplements and recovery from high-intensity resistance training.
The purpose of this study was to investigate whether short-term amino acid supplementation could maintain a short-term net anabolic hormonal profile and decrease muscle cell damage during a period of high-intensity resistance training (overreaching), thereby enhancing recovery and decreasing the risk of injury and illness. Eight previously resistance trained males were randomly assigned to eith...
متن کاملExercise-induced muscle damage is reduced in resistance-trained males by branched chain amino acids: a randomized, double-blind, placebo controlled study
BACKGROUND It is well documented that exercise-induced muscle damage (EIMD) decreases muscle function and causes soreness and discomfort. Branched-chain amino acid (BCAA) supplementation has been shown to increase protein synthesis and decrease muscle protein breakdown, however, the effects of BCAAs on recovery from damaging resistance training are unclear. Therefore, the aim of this study was ...
متن کاملPotential therapeutic effects of branched-chain amino acids supplementation on resistance exercise-based muscle damage in humans
Branched-chain amino acids (BCAA) supplementation has been considered an interesting nutritional strategy to improve skeletal muscle protein turnover in several conditions. In this context, there is evidence that resistance exercise (RE)-derived biochemical markers of muscle soreness (creatine kinase (CK), aldolase, myoglobin), soreness, and functional strength may be modulated by BCAA suppleme...
